Dormont has 95 hectares of broadleaf and conifer woodlands grown for commercial timber production and local amenity.
Sitka spruce are the main conifer crop on the estate but we also have areas of Japanese Larch and Douglas Fir this are managed for final crop selling at 25 to 30 years with thinnings taken for biomass.
We also grow braodleaf trees with mixed broadleaf areas of Oak, Beech, Sycamore and Birch which is grown and managed for sale as mature trees.

Timber Sales:-
Sales of tmber are mostly of standing timber. At present there are no compartments ready for felling
Firewood Sales:-
Dormont has a good stock of firewood sold:-
- Ready chopped in to firewood logs in bags for collection
- As limbs or individual trees
